Removing The Car Radio

NOTE:

-

When the car radio is replaced by a new or different car radio, read out the data using the Porsche System Tester before removing it.

The car radio has an optical waveguide. For information on optical waveguides.

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

1. Plug in the removal tool into the opening provided on the radio until it is felt to engage.
2. Carefully pull the radio out of the installation slot with the removal tool.

3. Carefully move the radio to the front, place on the centre console. It is recommended to place a cloth between the centre console and the radio.
4. Release the plug connections by pressing the locking plugs -a- and pull out from the radio -arrow-.

NOTE:

Depending on the I No. (CD changer, Bose, amplifier) the number of plug connections varies.

The version without additional audio components (external Most control units) has a jumper (output goes to input) plugged in for optical
waveguide connectors.
