5. Press in the locking hooks (coloured) on the radio -arrow- and simultaneously pull out the removal tool.

Installing The Car Radio

1. Before the "new" car radio is installed, release and unplug the protective plug -A- for the optical waveguide.

2. Press in electrical plug and the optical waveguide plug on car radio until it is felt to engage -a-.

NOTE:  Before the car radio is inserted into the installation slot, it must be ensured that the electrical lines are not squeezed and damaged by the
car radio.

3. Push the car radio into the installation slot until the locking elements on the radio housing engage.

Teaching The Car Radio

NOTE:

If a new car radio is to be installed in a vehicle, the PCM2/CDR23 code specified in IPAS must be used.

You can get the codes from IPAS or from your importer by specifying the vehicle identification number.

If possible, before the car radio is removed and replaced, a read-out of the vehicle data should be obtained from the Porsche System Tester.

During coding, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System Tester. Connect a battery charging unit to the vehicle battery.

Instructions for the Porsche System Tester have a higher priority and are to be followed where descriptions deviate. Deviations may occur with
later software versions (as of 15.0).
