Symptoms
Creaking noises from around the hood when using the wind deflector or operating the hardtop.
Causes and remedial action
Creaking noises can be heard while driving if parts of the hood are not greased.

Overview
If a customer complains of creaking noises from around the Cabriolet hood, work through the sections listed below:

Section on "Lubricating hood".

Section on "Lubricating hood compartment lid".

Section on "Lubricating wind deflector".
If a customer complains of creaking noises during hardtop operation from around the front hardtop latch, work through the following section:

Section on "Reworking gate guide in latching hook of hardtop latch".
Lubricating convertible top

Refer to Convertible top in service position
1. Lubricate thrust wedge -1- and roof frame fitting -2- on the left and right with Krytox GPL.
Lubricate sealing lip -3- on the tension bow seal by applying Osixo Anti Squeak 557 all the way round.
