4.2. Remove lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter on side 1-3.

Loosen and unscrew left lambda sensor -5- downstream of catalytic converter -9- using an open ring wrench Nr.98 and torque wrench Nr.92

Installing lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter

1. Observe precautionary measures when working with lambda sensors.

INFORMATION:

When reinstalling oxygen sensors, grease the thread with the Optimol Paste MF lubricant (Part No. 000.043.207.07) only.

New oxygen sensors have already been greased and the thread is fitted with a protection cap.

2. Install lambda sensors.

2.1. During reinstallation, the thread of the lambda sensors must be coated with the prescribed grease.

2.2. Install lambda sensor on side 4-6.

Screw in lambda sensor -6- downstream of catalytic converter -8-. Then tighten it with the open ring wrench Nr.98 and torque wrench Nr.92
Pos.1.
Tightening torque: 55 Nm (41 ftlb.)±5 Nm (±3.5 ftlb.)

3. Install lambda sensor on side 1-3.

3.1. During reinstallation, the thread of the lambda sensors must be coated with the prescribed grease.
