3.1.

Loosen the drive shaft at the transmission.

Slide a protective hose -arrow- over the drive shaft to prevent damage to the drive shaft.

3.3.

Loosen the drive shaft at the wheel bearing housing (only if the wheel bearing or wheel bearing housing needs to be replaced).

Use universal drive shaft/wheel hub extractor as of model '86 NR.87-1 to carefully press out the pin of the drive shaft until the shaft can be
moved by hand.

4. Release brake calliper from wheel bearing housing (do not open brake system) and suspend it in the wheel arch.
5. Pull protective sleeve of the parking-brake cable -2- off the guide tube -1- on the underbody.

6. The following action, "Detach brake disc and remove parking-brake shoes" is only necessary if the wheel bearing or wheel bearing housing is

replaced!
