Overview of parking-brake shoes

5. Secure brake calliper on wheel bearing housing. - Tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
6. Fit linkage for headlight levelling system (headlight height adjustment) on trailing arm (left side only). Counter with an open-ended wrench when

doing this. The sensor for the headlight levelling system does not need to be calibrated.

Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

7. Install speed sensor -2-.

The bore for fitting the speed sensor must be perfectly clean and should be greased with Molykote Longterm 2 plus.

Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Fasten combination wire -1- to wheel bearing housing.

Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Connect electric connectors for combination wire for ABS and brake pad wear indicator and lock using a safety clip. Secure line for brake pad
wear indicator on wheel carrier support.

8. Slide protective sleeve of the parking-brake cable -2- onto the guide tube -1- on the underbody. Ensure it is seated correctly!

9. Fit (engage) the parking-brake cable on the parking-brake lever.
