Removing bearing cover
3. Heat wheel bearing housing to approx. 100°C (max. 120°C).

Hot wheel bearing housing!

Wear heat-resistant gloves!
4. Press out wheel bearing using a tube VW 415 A.

5. Press out wheel bearing inner ring.
Use a two-claw puller together with a suitable intermediate piece (e.g. pressure piece VW 433) to pull the inner bearing ring several millimeters
off the wheel hub.
Press out inner bearing ring using a press-out mandrel P 297a together with the separating device (diameter = 12 - 115 mm) NR.111.
