Shift Cable: Service and Repair

Removing and installing shift and selector cables

Preliminary work

1. Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
2. Remove underbody panel.

Detaching shift and selector cables at transmission 

1. Remove transmission support.

2. Use a screwdriver to pry off the shift cable -1- and selector cable -2- on the transmission external shift mechanism and unhook shift and selector

cable from the support.
