Spray or brush a coat of hardener on the valve guide contact surface of the seal (see Figure 4). Use protective gloves. Drying time of the hardener
is approximately 5 minutes. Seals coated with hardener must be installed within ten minutes.

Push a protection sleeve, Part Number 000 043 084 00, on the valve stem.  Oil the valve stem seal sealing lip lightly and push the seal onto the
protection sleeve.

Apply a coat of cement on the seal contact surface of the valve guide using a small brush. Immediately press the valve stem seal carefully on the
valve guide with tool 10-204 (Figure 5).

Do not start engine for at least 12 hours after valve stem seal installation.
