1. Insert the navigation unit into the retaining bracket and plug into the electrical plug connections -1, 2, 3- until the plug is felt to click into place.
2. Slide the navigation unit further into the retaining bracket until the navigation unit is felt to click into place.

Installing the navigation unit with retaining bracket

INFORMATION:  If the navigation unit is removed with the retaining bracket, then new clips must be used before reinstallation.

1. Install new clips, push in the navigation unit in the retaining bracket until the navigation unit is felt to engage.

2. Push in electrical plug connections -1, 2, 3- until plugs are felt to engage.

3. Position the navigation unit with retaining bracket on the body and push into the four holders. Check proper seating of holder by pulling up on the

retaining bracket.

During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System tester. It is essential to connect a battery charger with a
current rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.

Prior to disconnecting the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

1. Connect the Porsche System tester to the vehicle and start the System tester. Switch on ignition. >> Continue.
2. Select the vehicle type.
3. Switch from the vehicle type to the list of control units.
4. Select PCM 2.1, Navigation with the cursor keys and press the >> key.
