Removing And Installing Rear Angle Sensor For Headlight Levelling System

Removing rear angle sensor for headlight levelling system

1. Hold intermediate link on rotary lever with second open-ended wrench and screw off fastening nut.
2. Push back rubber cover -1- over the electrical plug connection, release electrical plug connection and remove connector from angle sensor.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -3- for securing retaining bracket for angle sensor, combination wire and brake line to the body.
4. Unscrew the two fastening screws -2- and remove angle sensor from bracket.

Installing rear angle sensor for headlight levelling system

INFORMATION:  If the angle sensor has been replaced, the front end control unit must be calibrated; afterwards the headlight setting must be checked
and adjusted if necessary.

1. Secure angle sensor to retaining bracket with the two fastening screws -2-.
2. Position retaining bracket with angle sensor on the body and screw down with the fastening screw -3-.
3. Engage electrical plug connection and pull rubber cover carefully over the plug connection (protects against water leaking in).
4. Engage intermediate link on rotary lever and secure with fastening nut. - Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.)
