Tightening fastening nuts on control unit

4. Secure carpeted floor.
4.1.

Affix double-sided adhesive tape in the marked area and pull protective film off the adhesive tape.

4.2.

Fold carpeted floor over -arrows- and press down firmly.

5. Fold the right rear seat back.

Replacing control unit for Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)

If the control unit is replaced, the control unit must be coded using the PIWIS Tester 9718. This adapts the control unit to the vehicle and
equipment.

Before the control unit is removed and replaced, a read-out of the vehicle data should be obtained (if possible) using the PIWIS Tester 9718.

During coding, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the PIWIS Tester 9718. A battery charger with a current rating of at least 40 A
must be connected to the vehicle battery.

The PIWIS Tester 9718 instructions take precedence, and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations
may occur with later software versions. The description is based on the Tester software release 17.02.

The procedure described here has been structured in general terms; different text or additions may appear in the PIWIS Tester 9718.

1. PIWIS Tester 9718 must be connected to the vehicle. Start the PIWIS Tester. Switch on ignition using original key and press >> to continue.
2. Select vehicle type and press >>.
3. Select the PDCC control unit and press >
4. Control unit replacement must then be selected. Press >> to continue.

Information 
If the values cannot be read out from the PDCC control unit (e.g. control unit is defective), skip the step for reading values and proceed with writing
values.

5. Select Read-out values and press >>.
6. The PIWIS Tester 9718 screen displays the message Values were read out >>.
7. Switch off ignition and replace PDCC control unit.
8. Switch on ignition. After replacing the control unit, select the Coding menu and press >>. Select vehicle variant and change it if necessary.
