Use new repair kit!

1. If necessary, push brake piston back into its original position using the piston resetting fixture 144.
2. Install disc brake pads.

3. Install expanding spring, retaining pin -movement arrow- and retainer (safety bracket) -Arrow at top of retaining pin.
4. Install warning contact wire at brake caliper -Arrow at bottom-, warning contacts at disc brake pads.
5. Press the brake pedal several times while the car is stationary to position the disc brake pads on the brake discs.

6. Check brake fluid level and correct if necessary. The brake fluid level must be between the -MAX-MIN marking-.
7. Mount wheel.

Use correct tightening torques!

Bedding in the brake pads

New brake pads require a bedding-in period of approximately 200 km! Not until then do they achieve their best friction and wear coefficient!
During this period, the brakes should be subjected to full stress when travailing at high speed only in emergencies!
