Rear Axle Noise (Squeaking)

Concerns: 
Rear axle noise (squeaking) on rear axle caused by brake pad making contact with brake pad support plate.

Information: 

Due to overlapping of tolerances, the lower edge of the inner brake pad touches the brake pad support plate. As a result, there are noises (squeaking) on
the rear axle brakes when braking.

As of August 9, 2003 the brake pad support plate has been modified in the area of the brake pad or the caliper. If there is a complaint, a cutout
corresponding to the length of the brake pad (Figure 1, arrows) needs to be made on the brake pad support plate on both brakes of the rear axle.
