Removing and Installing Front Parking Brake Cable

Removing and installing front brake cable for foot-operated parking brake

Note!

Front brake cable means: From the release for the foot-operated parking brake to the deflector under the centre console.

The actuating pedal for the foot-operated parking brake does not have to be removed to do this.

1. Move the actuating pedal into zero position (pull release). Parking brake is released.
2. Remove trim in sill area.
3. Remove centre console.
4. Remove cover of driver's footwell.

5. Fix the adjustment fixture using an -auxiliary pin (maximum 3.5 mm)-. In other words: Press the adjustment fixture together as far as possible

until the assembly bores are covered and the auxiliary pin can be inserted. 

6. Lift the front carpet (do not bend) and push the rear carpet aside.
