4. Put oiled bearing covers on the camshaft bearings. The matching number of the bearing covers must correspond to the camshaft housing. For each

cylinder, the bearing covers are numbered consecutively from the front (at the side of the timing chain) -B- . The identification of the bearing
cover and matching number can be read from the exhaust side -A- .
mug cover consecutive numbering inlet cylinder cover 1 etc. E/1

5. Tighten bearing cover screws M6 x 35 according to tightening sequence to 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.).
6. Position oil feed housing of inlet camshaft and tighten fastening screws M6 x 16 to 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.).

Note:  If the camshaft wheels and camshaft adjusters are removed completely, the diamond washer end fastening screw must be replaced!
