2. Replace oil duct sealing ring on cylinder head and apply a thin bead of sealant (approximate width 1.5 mm) onto the camshaft housing. When

doing this, do not forget the sealing surfaces of the spark plug recesses.

C Wipe off projecting sealant residue as far as timing case cover

3. Place camshaft housing on cylinder head. Position M8 fastening screws and tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) in tightening sequence.
4. Tighten hexagon socket head bolts in the timing case to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) (on cylinder bank 1-4, the screws are located at the side on the outside

of the chain box). Wipe off excess silicone as far as timing case.
