3. Pull off assembly sleeve evenly from sealing ring.

If the sealing flange on the belt pulley is slightly rusted, polish the rust off with a special polishing cotton.

If the sealing flange is badly corroded or contains deep grooves, replace it.

A feather key is inserted into the crankshaft. When fitting the belt pulley, ensure that the feather key slots into the groove in the belt pulley.

The feather key must not fall into the engine.

4. Position the belt pulley on the crankshaft stub. Then press the belt pulley slightly in the direction of the engine, simultaneously twisting it until it

slips definitively in the direction of the timing case cover. When doing so, pay attention to the feather key.

5. Screw the new central screw into the crankshaft.

6. Position arm bracket 9679 in the belt pulley and turn it until it locks.
7. Tighten the central screw to 250 Nm (185 ft. lbs.).
