12. Disconnect coolant line leading to the generator.
13. Remove valve cover.
14. Remove chain tensioner.
15. Remove oil dipstick.
16. Remove crankshaft sealing ring on timing case cover. To do this, loosen the 4 fastening screws.
17. Remove timing case cover. To do this, release all the fastening screws in reverse order (beginning with position 28).
Warning: Motor can become leaky.

When dismantling the timing case cover, the sealing bead between the oil pan and crankcase can become damaged.
