7. Screw down the slide hammer and hammer down the drive plate.

Note:

The crankshaft stub must be cleaned before the drive plate is fitted (remove frictional corrosion).

Use a special metal-polishing pad (e.g. Never Dull) to do this.

Installing drive plate for torque converter 
1. Fit flywheel.

2. Block drive plate. To do this, attach toothed segment 9538/1 to a screw hole in the crankcase so that at least one tooth is in contact with the starter

teeth.

3. Tighten the ten new M10 x 22 fastening screws crosswise. 

Tightening torque: 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) + 90°.

4. Remove toothed segment 9538/1 .
5. Install transmission.
