Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

Removing and installing guide tube for oil dipstick on DFI engines

Preliminary work

1. Remove intake pipes upstream of the throttle valve.

1. Unscrew the two fastening screws. -3 and 11-. Use an angled tool for this.

2. Pull out oil dipstick.
3. Pull guide tube out of the oil guide housing. Carefully turn back and forth if necessary. Check that the sealing ring on the guide tube moves with it

or pull the sealing ring out of the bore using an angled piece of wire.

Information

Illuminate the installation location well for assembling the guide tube.

1. Replace sealing ring.
