2.7. De-burr the bore holes.
3. Remove joint seal on the rear lid.
3.1. Mask outer edges of the rear lid at the left and right and along the joint seal using adhesive tape.
3.2. Cut into the joint seal up to the edge of the rear lid. To do this, carefully go along the edge vertically with respect to the joint seal with a
spatula.
3.3. Remove the joint seal on the inside across its entire width as far as the adhesive tape using a spatula.
3.4. Treat all bore holes with corrosion protection and then paint the bore holes to match the vehicle's colour code using a touch-up stick.
3.5. Paint the visible part of the joint seal with a touch-up stick.
