Tear off the tear-off label -2- on the new component -1- and stick it under the heading Proof of airbag system check/component replacement in the
Guarantee and Maintenance booklet.

The replacement date and mileage must be documented and the booklet must be stamped with the dealer's stamp.
1. Position triggering unit, move both ground straps -2- on the left fastening bolts and screw down with the three fastening nuts -1-. Tightening
torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
2. Connect electric plug and lock it until the lock engages.
3. If the triggering unit is new, lock the airbag triggering unit using the PIWIS Tester 9718. Refer to Removing and installing triggering unit for
