Releasing and securing rocker switch

Screw in screws -2- on the rocker switch -1-.

Press on and engage cover on rocker switch.

New covers are supplied with the steering wheel cover.

Check the mechanical operation of the rocker switches.

3. Check again that the securing clip -2- for the locking mechanism for the airbag unit is seated correctly and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

"Exactly what it is supposed to do" means: When you slide the securing clip up evenly (against the spring force) and then let it go, the securing
clip -2- must be pressed down again (by the force of the compression spring) -1-.

Subsequent work

1. Install steering wheel.
2. Install drivers airbag unit -2-. Ensure that the airbag unit is locked securely.
