Removing And Installing Motor For Trailer Hitch

Removing motor for trailer hitch

1. Remove housing.
2. Remove bevel gear.

2.1. Mark position.

Mark the shaft using a pen.
The marking must be aligned with the two screws on the bevel gear.

2.2. Unscrew nut.
2.3. Remove bevel gear.

3. Unscrew screws on motor.
4. Remove motor.

Installing motor for trailer hitch

1. Position motor.
2. Screw in fastening screws.
3. Fit new bevel gear.

3.1 .Align the bevel gear so that the fastening screws are flush with the marking.

4. Screw on nut.

Checking and adjusting basic setting of drive shaft

1. Move coupling into extended position manually.

Use the Tester?????????

2. Check locking mechanism of coupling.

2.1. Check axial play on coupling by moving it back and forth with your hand. The coupling must be locked without play.

3. Check gap dimension.

Gap between trip cam and actuator pin is 3 mm.
Define tolerances.

4. If the gap dimension is not correct.

Remove bevel gear and fit it with correct gap.

5. Erase the fault memory.
6. Perform a test run.
7. Check the fault memory.
