Hood Hinge: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Front Lid Hinge

Technical values

Preliminary work

1. Remove the front lid.
2. Remove cowl panel cover.

Removing front lid hinge

INFORMATION:  Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the
opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- .
2. Remove the hinge.

Install front lid hinge

INFORMATION:  Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the
opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Roughly align the hinge according to the old impressions.

2. Screw in fastening screws and tighten to the specified tightening torque

Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.).

Subsequent work

1. Install cowl panel cover.
2. Install the front lid.
