Preliminary work

Remove cover for rear seat.

Replacing heating element for rear seat

INFORMATION:
-

The heating elements for the seat padding and the seat side bolsters are sewn into the cover.

-

The heating elements can only be replaced with the cover.

Replacing heating element for rear seat (air conditioning)

INFORMATION:
-

The heating elements for the lower leg support and the seat side bolsters are sewn into the cover and can only be replaced with the cover.

The heating elements for the seat padding are sewn into the heating pad.

Rear seats without seat-surface extension:
-

The longer heating pad is used here.

-

The longer version of the heating pad has four bonding points on the seat cushion.

Rear seats with seat-surface extension:
-

The shorter heating pad is used here.

-

The shorter version of the heating pad only has three bonding points on the seat cushion.

1. Disconnect the intake plenum from the suction fan.

2. Pull off the heating pad at the bonding points and remove it together with the intake plenum.
3. Replace the old heating pad with a new heating pad.
