3 - Screw, M6 x 25; screwed to fuel high-pressure distribution pipe
4 - Seal for thermostat housing; replace
5 - Thermostat insert; including electric heating element

3. Check that the coolant regulator was fitted as far as it will go. You must not be able to feel any overhang or underhang between the coolant

regulator and crankcase. The coolant regulator must be seated flush in the crankcase.

Transfer pipe/intake socket fully inserted

4. Connect cable plug to the thermostat insert.

Subsequent work

1. Fit the coolant pump.
2. Fit the throttle housing.
3. Bleed and fill the cooling system.
4. After replacing the coolant regulator, erase the fault memory for engine control again if necessary (old adaptation values will be adapted to suit the

new thermostat insert).
