THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 21-62-89 WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES. THE
FILTER ATTACHING BOLT TORQUES HAVE BEEN CORRECTED.

REVISED SERVICE PROCEDURE:

Because of major differences in the mounting points, appearance and dimensions of the MB1 and MB3 automatic transaxle service replacement oil filter,
PN T0734655, the installation procedure has been revised. In addition, a Filter Kit PN 83505742 has been released. The kit contains the following.

This TSB applies to all MB1 automatic transaxle and all MB3 up to MB3-107, Fabrication # 7942 and MB3-108, Fabrication # 233.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1.

Drain fluid and remove the automatic transaxle oil pan.

Remove the two bolts retaining the oil filter to the valve body and remove filter, Figure 1.

3.

Remove and discard one valve body bolt as shown in Figure 1.
