The operation of the cooling fans is controlled by the low and high temperature switches.
One side of cooling fan relay 1 coil is supplied a permanent earth on the B wire and battery voltage on the LG wire from fuse 4 in the passenger compartment fuse box via the low temperature switch (when closed) to the other side of the relay coil on the LG/O wire. When cooling fan relay 1 is energised, battery voltage is switched on the LG wire from fuse 8 in the passenger compartment fuse box via the closed contacts of the relay to cooling fan 1 on the LG/P wire. Earth to cooling fan 1 is on the B wire.
One side of cooling fan relay 2 coil is supplied a permanent earth on the B wire and battery voltage on the LG wire from fuse 4 in the passenger compartment fuse box via the high temperature switch (when closed) to the other side of the relay coil on the LG/G wire. When cooling fan relay 2 is energised, battery voltage is switched on the LG/W wire from fuse 7 in the passenger compartment fuse box via the closed contacts of the relay to cooling fan 2 on the LG/N wire. Earth to cooling fan 2 is on the B wire.
Low temperature switch operation: ON - 98 to 102°C OFF - 91 to 88°C
High temperature switch operation: ON - 101 to 105°C OFF - 98 to 95°C
