Electrical Description - D Series
When the ignition switch is turned to position ’II’, current is supplied on a B/R wire from fuse 16 in the passenger compartment fuse box to the ABS ECU. A feed is also supplied to the ABS warning lamp from fuse 15 on a Y wire. The warning lamp is controlled by the ABS ECU on a U/R wire.
If a wheel begins to lock and the valves relay is energised, a supply is fed directly from the battery, via the relay contacts, to the inlet and outlet valve solenoids and to one side of the motor relay. This supply on the W wire is fused separately using fuse holders mounted on the LH wing valance; with a 20 A fuse and a W/G wire to the pump and, a 40 A fuse and W/U wire to the ABS solenoid valve relay.
The motor relay is energised when the ECU provides an earth path for the coil; the direct supply is then fed via the relay contacts to the pump motor and to an ECU pump monitor.
A supply is fed to the modulator on the G/W wire, via the brake lamp switch, and the W/G wire to the vehicle brake lights, via fuse M in the engine compartment fuse box.
Electrical connections between the modulator and the left rear, the right rear, the right front and the left front wheel sensors, are made on the S and P, U/Y and G/Y, G and G/B, and N/B and G/O pairs of wires, respectively
