PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION

OUTSIDE CAR

1. Operate remote handset to lock and unlock doors, boot lid/tailgate
2. Check that door locks operate smoothly and positively

Check door operation

1. Ensure all doors, boot/tailgate operation and security.
2. Check correct alignment of doors, boot lid/ tailgate to body

Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare)

1. Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare). Refer to driver's handbook for correct pressures.

Fit wheel trims/wheel centres

1. Vehicles with steel wheels: Fit wheel trims on the wheel locating the largest of the cut-outs over the tyre valve stem and working round the wheel in each direction, press the wheel trim onto the wheel. Ensure that all wheel trims are securely fitted and aligned to avoid strain on the tyre valve stem.

Fit customer jack inserts to sill and transit hole covers to bumper (where applicable)

1. Fit two jacking point protectors to both sides of the vehicle, and transit hole cover to front bumper towing eye.

Fit spoiler extension to front bumper (where applicable)

Check operation and profile of fuel filler flap

1. Without remote release: Push on side of flap to open and ensure smooth operation.
2. With remote release: Operate release and ensure smooth operation and that the flap latches on closing.
3. With key/handset release: Ensure flap is released when the vehicle is unlocked and secured when locked.

Check for correct operation of all exterior lights

1. Switch on sidelights and check illumination of instruments and switches.
2. Check exterior front and rear sidelights illuminate.
3. Switch on headlights and check illumination.
4. Operate hazard warning light switch, check that front, rear and side indicator lights are flashing.
