9000 L4-1985cc 2.0L DOHC (1986)
Servicing In-Use Tensioner:
1.
If a new design tensioner has been removed for any reason a slightly different installation procedure is required.
Start by pushing the ratchet down and retracting the tensioner mechanism.
Fitting Center Bolt And Spring, Late Type.
2.
Thread in the tensioner and tighten to 50 ft.lbs. (65 N-m).
3.
Insert the spring and plastic guide pin into the hole in the top of the tensioner assembly.
4.
Fit the plug into the top of the tensioner and tighten to 16 ft.lbs. (22 N-m).
Be sure that the O-ring is seated properly.
