10. Remove the upper outer pillar trim (secured with clips).
11. Remove the belt adjuster plate by undoing the bolt in the upper edge and guiding out the plate from the lower edge.
12. Remove the belt link.
13. Unplug the connector from the belt tensioner.
14. Remove the belt roller bolt.
15. Guide out the belt roller and the belt tensioner.
Installation

Installing is in reverse order. First install a new belt with belt tensioner and plug in the connector to the belt tensioner. Test using ISAT as follows.

Refit the negative battery lead, switch on the ignition and connect the ISAT to the data link connector under the facia. Erase any diagnostic trouble
codes.

Switch off the ignition and switch it back on again. Wait for at least 10 seconds with the ignition on.

Check to see if any diagnostic trouble code is displayed.
If a diagnostic trouble code is displayed:Conduct appropriate fault diagnosis. See: Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection
and Diagnostic Overview
If no diagnostic trouble code is displayed: Refit all removed parts.
Tightening Torques
Belt roller securing bolts: 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
Adjusting plate upper securing bolt: 24 Nm (18 ft lb)
