Note:  The brake pads must be removed to remove the brake discs of the rear wheel brake. When replacing the brake discs, the brake pads must
also be replaced. Always replace both brake discs on one axle.

1. Remove the rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the brake pads. Refer to Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement   (See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement)

and Rear Disc Brake Pad Attachment Replacement   (See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Rear Disc Brake Pad Attachment Replacement).

3. Remove the brake carrier (2) from brake backing plate.

Remove the 2 bolts.

4. Remove the brake disc from wheel hub.

Remove the locking bolt (1).

5. Clean the mating surfaces between the brake disc and the wheel hub.
