2. Guide the airbag (1) wiring harness through the opening in the steering wheel hub.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note:

Ensure that the marks (2) on the steering wheel and steering shaft align.

Clean the thread and install a new bolt with locking compound.

3. Install the steering wheel to the steering shaft.

Position the steering wheel on the steering column.

Tighten the bolt to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

4. Connect the wiring harness plug for the horn/infotainment.
5. Install the steering wheel airbag module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement   (See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag

Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair).

6. Connect the negative cable battery.
