3. In the vehicles with disc brakes, detach the handbrake cable from the brake caliper.

Push down the operating lever at the brake caliper using a screwdriver.
*
Remove the handbrake cable.
*
Detach the retaining clip.
*
Pull the handbrake cable out of the bracket.
Note: If it is not possible to pull the brake caliper with brake carrier and installed brake pads from brake disc because of brake disc wear, for
example: remove the brake pads from rear wheel brake, refer to Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc
Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement).
4. Detach the brake caliper with brake carrier from the brake backing plate.

Remove the 2 brake carrier bolts from the brake carrier plate.
*
Pull the brake caliper with brake carrier from the brake disc.
*
Suspend the brake caliper and brake carrier from the rear spring using suitable wire.
