1. Install the new axle shaft seal ring.

Coat the axle shaft seal ring with transmission fluid.

Install the axle shaft seal ring flush in the transmission. For F17 use KM-446     (1)

2. Install the axle shaft in the transmission. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement   (See: Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft

Assembly/Service and Repair).

3. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check   (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Transmission Fluid

Check).
