Paint Finish Concerns on Underside of Hood (Worn/Scuffed) at Front Inner Fender (Spot Repair Paint and Install Protectors)

Condition
Some customers may comment on areas or spots under the hood where the paint appears to be worn or scuffed at the front inner fender.
Cause
This condition may be the result of the front inner wheelhouse contacting the front inner fender of the hood.
Correction
Spot repair the paint on the underside of the hood at the front inner fender and install protectors following the procedure below:
Open the hood.
Clean the underside of the hood inner fender area.
Dry the underside of the hood inner fender area.
Spot repair the paint color per manufacturers instructions on any worn or scuffed paint. Refer to the 2007 GM Approved Refinish Materials booklet (GM
4901 MD-2007) for specific products.
