Introduction
As a result of an incorrect gain control setting from the manufacturer, some VSE Subwoofers in 2005 model year Scion tC vehicles may display a "pop"
or "thump" noise, when the ignition is cycled off. To remedy this condition, the gain control setting needs to be readjusted to the correct setting.

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
Readjust Gain Control Setting.

Open rear latch of vehicle, and remove the VSE Subwoofer grille, by pulling on the release cord.
