Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY NO.1 

REPLACEMENT 

NOTE:  When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following system after the terminal is reconnected.

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

2. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY NO.1

a. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector.
b. Remove the wire harness clamp.
c. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 from the vacuum switching valve.
d. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 2 from the vacuum switching valve.
e. Remove the vacuum switching valve from the air cleaner hose.

3. INSTALL VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY NO.1

a. Install the vacuum switching valve onto the air cleaner hose.
b. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 2 to the vacuum switching valve.

NOTE:  Make sure that the hose clip and mark are at the correct angle when installing.
