2AZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: CANISTER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE CANISTER

(a) Disconnect the charcoal canister outlet hose.

(b) Disconnect the air inlet hose.

Remove any dirt and foreign objects from the air inlet hose connector before performing the work.

Do not allow any scratches or foreign objects to get on the parts when disconnecting, as the air inlet hose connector has an O-ring that seals
the pipe.

Perform the work by hand. Do not use any tools.

-

Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the nylon tube.

-

Protect the air inlet hose after disconnection by covering it with a vinyl bag.

-

If the fuel vent connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull them to release.
