Removal

POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING GEAR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. POSITION FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper Motor/Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

6. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper Motor/Removal

7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front

8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

9. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper Motor/Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH 

11. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL 

12. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET

(a) Remove the floor carpet and 2 clips and remove the column hole cover silencer.

13. REMOVE STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Use a seat belt to fix the steering wheel assembly in place, in order to avoid breaking of the spiral cable.
