C50 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the control cable with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

(b) Install the control cable assembly onto the control cable bracket with 2 new clips.
(c) Connect the control cable assembly and install the 2 washers and 2 clips.

(d) Install the control cable assembly onto the shift lever retainer.

NOTE:
-

Install the cable with the protruding portion of the cable outer facing upward.

After installing, check that the lock of the cable outer is protruding beyond portion A, as shown in the illustration.

(e) Connect the control shift cable to the shift lever.
