Dismounting
Bear in mind the general instructions for the repair of the gearbox → Chapter.
  Note!
t  Remove the negative terminal from the battery.
t  In vehicles that are fitted with a coded radio, first consult the anti-theft code.
Retainer for right coupling flange:
–  Dismount the counterweight from the unit holder.
t  Mark the position for the assembly of the counterweight.
Right or left retainer for coupling flange:
–  Extract the attachment bolts from the drive train to the gearbox flange.
t  Use a spanner with a suitable diameter from the tool -U-40020-.
–  Put the drive train to one side and support it appropriately and try not to damage it.
–  Empty the oil from the gearbox.
   
–  Remove the attachment bolt from the coupling flange.
–  Take out the coupling flange together with the spring, the thrust washer and the tapered ring.

–  Dismount the retainer for the coupling flange using the tool -U-40100/2-. Work the hammer until extracting the retainer.
  Note!
Try not to cause any damage to the housing for the retainer in the gearbox.
