  WARNING
Take all measures concerning the disconnection of the battery → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27.
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth wire at battery .
–  Remove oil sump → Chapter.
–  Remove the oil strainer → Chapter.
–  Remove the selection unit → Chapter.
If the gearbox is in place:
   
–  Disconnect the 14 pin connector -A- from the gearbox connector.

–  Unscrew the attachment bolt from the 14 pin connector on the outer part of the gearbox housing.
–  With due care, take out the connector along with the cable harness -D- from the gearbox housing.

Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:
–  Replace the O-ring on the connector.
–  Moisten the O-ring with ATF.
–  Press in the connector with the O-ring on the gearbox as far as possible.
