| Thoroughly clean unions and adjacent areas before removing. |

| Place removed parts on a clean surface and cover. Use foil or paper. Use only lint-free cloths. |

| Carefully cover or store opened components if repairs cannot be carried out immediately. |

| Only fit clean parts: only remove replacement parts from packaging immediately prior to installation. |
| t
| Always install new O-rings, oil seals and gaskets. |
| t
| To fit the O-rings, apply ATF or Vaseline so that the joints are not crushed or pinched during the installation. |
| t
| In general, only ATF should be used in the ATF areas. Other lubricants may cause irregularities in the operation of the hydraulic gearbox mechanism. |
| t
| After fitting, the following levels must be checked and topped up if necessary: ATF in the planetary gears → Chapter. |
