Seal gear selection mechanism - replacement
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Extraction lever -T20143-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-2958
t  Tappet -T20153-, see equivalent → Anchor
Procedure:
–  Remove air cleaner housing → Rep. Gr.23.

–  Detach safety clip -2- and, applying pressure, extract idler rod to one side -3-, removing it from its housing.
–  Unscrew nut -4- and remove selector rod -1-.

–  Remove seal by levering with extractor -T20143/1-.

–  Insert with an tappet -T20153-.
The remaining installation steps are carried out in reverse sequence - note the following points:

The selector rod may only be placed in one position.
–  Install air cleaner housing → Rep. Gr.23.
