Clutch release mechanism: Assembly overview
   
Clutch release mechanism: Assembly overview
1 - Release bearing
q   Do not wash, clean with a cloth
q   Replace clutch release bearing causing noises
q   Servicing release bearing with glued plastic ring → Fig.
q   Checking release bearing with mechanically attached plastic ring → Fig.
q   Renew if groove worn on plastic ring is too deep → Fig.
q   Retaining lugs on clutch release bearing must be seated in clutch release lever.
2 - Clutch release lever
q   Before fitting, apply copper grease (allocation: → Spare Spare parts catalogue) in the system holes of the plunger of the clutch slave cylinder.
3 - Torx screw, 35 Nm
q   3 off
q   Apply locking fluid. Allocation: → Spare Spare parts catalogue, ETKA.
4 - Retaining spring
q   Fasten to clutch release lever
5 - Guide sleeve
q   Installation position: The oil drain bore points downwards.
q   Before removing/installing install shrink-type sleeve on drive shaft gears to protect sealing ring.
6 - Seal
q   For input shaft
q   Pull out of guide sleeve → Item → Fig..
q   Press into guide sleeve → Item → Fig..
q   Fill half the space between the sealing lips and the dust cover with sealing grease. Allocation: →  Spare parts catalogue.
7 - O-ring
q   Always replace.
8 - Dished spring
q   Inner diameter (convex side) faces guide sleeve → Item
9 - Intermediate piece
q   Installation position: insert locating element between ribs of housing
10 - Ball head stud
q   Lubricate with grease. Allocation: → Spare parts catalogue
11 - Gearbox:
12 - Slave cylinder
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Do not actuate clutch pedal after removal
q   Observe work sequence when bleeding → Chapter
q   Tighten breather valve to 4.5 Nm
q   When assembling push until mounting bolt can be inserted.
13 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 23 Nm
q   Self-locking
q   replace
14 - Spring retainer
q   For pipe and hose assembly
q   Bolt to gearbox with clutch slave cylinder
15 - Tappet
q   Apply copper grease to the end of the plunger. Allocation: → Spare parts catalogue
