Installing > < Removing and installing mounting bracket
Removing
Removing
–  First check whether a coded radio is fitted. If so, obtain anti-theft code.
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap.
–  Remove covers on driver side → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.68.
–  Remove dash panel trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.
–  Remove steering column → Running gear, axles, steering - front and four-wheel drive; Rep. Gr.48.
–  Unhook relay plate from both retainers, unscrew upper fastener and tie up relay plate → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.97.
–  Remove clutch pedal switch -1- from mounting bracket → Item.
   
–  Remove brake light switch -2- from mounting bracket → Brake systems; Rep. Gr.46.
–  Remove connector -3- → Rep. Gr.20.
–  Pry off cap -4- with screw driver.

–  Separate clutch pedal from master cylinder -1- → Chapter.
–  Separate brake pedal -2- from brake servo → Brake systems; Rep. Gr.46.

–  Screw bolt M10 -arrow- into hole and lock.
   Dimension -a- = 25 mm
  Note!
The bolt -arrow- prevents the fully-stretched over-centre spring from springing out with master cylinder removed.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- for master cylinder.

–  Remove upper securing bolt -A- for mounting bracket.
–  Remove lower securing bolts -B- for mounting bracket.
–  Remove upper securing nut -C- for mounting bracket.
–  Remove hexagon nuts for brake servo -D-.
–  Carefully pull mounting bracket out into passenger compartment.
